Race Information Final Route: For a downloadable version of the race map, Parking and Transportation: Since this is a point-to-point course you will need to determine your best option for getting to and from the start and finish lines. Here are some options:
Regardless of where you park, please do not leave valuables visible in your vehicle at anytime. Pre-Race Information: There is no race day registration, only bib number
and t-shirt pick-up will be available for pre-registered runners only
along 23rd Avenue just west of Colorado Boulevard and east of the Denver
Zoo. Volunteer check-in and information will also be at this location. At the start on 23rd Avenue. Please remove your baggage tag from the top of your bib number (not your finishing stub on the bottom of the bib) and attach it to either a bag that you’ve brought or a small grocery-sized bag supplied by the race with your clothing. Put your clothing in this bag which will be transported to the finish line. Starting Line: On 23rd Avenue, west of Colorado Boulevard and east of the Denver Zoo. Course Closure Information: The race course will be controlled by Denver Police, traffic closures and course marshals. Please obey all direction along the course. The course will remain open for all runners participating under the 13:00 minute/mile pace.
The course will open to traffic at each mile in 13:00 minute increments. If you are slower then the times listed above, you can continue the race along adjacent sidewalks but will lose police support. You are expected to obey all traffic signs and signals. The final two miles of the race are within Washington Park and are not impacted by the course being re-opened to traffic. Spectators Spectators are encouraged to watch and cheer on the runners throughout the race. See the course map to determine your best viewing options. Complimentary Post Race Massage Massage therapists from Colorado School of the Healing Arts will be available in the post-race area near the finish. Tips for any massage work will be greatly appreciated. Post Race Festivites Food and refreshments will be served in the meadow area north of the Bathhouse on the north end of Washington Park. Musical entertainment will also be provided. Important Locations
Optional Return Bus Transportation From Steele Elementary School located at 320 South Marion Street approximately three blocks north of the finish line. Return transportation is an additional $8 per person. Buses will begin running at approximately 8:30 a.m. on race morning. You must reserve return bus service by August 17th. Your name will be placed on the bus manifest for return trip verification. Course Records (all 2007) Open Male: Todd Hagadone 57:02 Awards All race finishers will receive a finisher medal. Age group awards are courtesy of the Runners Roost. Men and women age group awards will be presented to the top three finishers in the following age categories; 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80+. There will be a total of $2,500 awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the open and masters (40+) age categories.
Colorado Runner Racing Series The Aetna Park to Park 10 Miler is honored to be a part of the Colorado Runner Racing Series. The series consists of sixteen races throughout the state.
